Terms and conditions
A. Enrolment
Enrolment is confirmed once full payment is received.
Students may join during the term subject to availability. Fees for mid-term enrolments will be calculated pro-rata based on remaining weeks.
Each class has a minimum of 4 students and a maximum of 8 students. Courses will only run if the minimum number of students is reached.
If minimum enrolment is not met, students will be offered:
Transfer to another class,
Credit toward a future term,
Full refund.
B. Course Structure
Group courses are term-based, typically 8 to 10 weeks, with 1.5-hour lessons per week.
Private tuition sessions range from one to two hours per lesson, depending on the student’s needs and agreed schedule.
Lessons follow a structured progression; continuity is essential for effective learning.
Classes are designed to be interactive and supportive, with personalised feedback for each student.
We reserve the right to substitute instructors at any time during the term due to illness, absence, or other unforeseen circumstances.
C. Fees & Payment
Fees are payable upfront for the full term (or pro-rata for mid-term enrolments).
Payments for full-term enrolments must be made by bank transfer at the time of booking. Enrolment is confirmed once full payment has been received.
For mid-term enrolments, payment details will be provided directly and fees will be calculated on a pro-rata basis.
Once payment is received, your place in the course is secured.
D. Absences & Make-Up Classes
Group Classes
Students are expected to notify us of any planned absences before the start of the term so that invoices can be amended and pro-rata adjustments can be made if applicable.
Please note that once the term has commenced, missed classes cannot be credited, refunded, or made up. Fees apply for the full term as students are reserving a place in the group rather than paying for individual sessions. This policy ensures consistency in class quality and continuity for all students.
Private Lessons
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.
Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, including due to illness, are charged in full and cannot be rescheduled.
In cases of serious illness or exceptional circumstances, a medical certificate may be requested for consideration of a credit, at management’s discretion.
No refund is provided for missed or unused private lesson sessions.
F. Behaviour & Conduct
Students are expected to behave respectfully and follow instructions in class.
French Journey reserves the right to suspend or remove a student from a class for inappropriate behaviour, without refund.
Welcome to French Journey!
Please read these terms carefully. Enrolment in our courses indicates your acceptance of these conditions.
